Ford ( Ford Motor Company ) is an American multinational automaker headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan, USA. Ford was founded by Henry Ford and was founded on June 16, 1903. The company sells cars and commercial vehicles under the Ford brand and luxury cars under its Lincoln luxury brand. The carmaker’s trucks and SUVs were especially popular. For decades, Ford’s F-Series truck has been the best-selling car in America. Ford has been an important part of automotive history for more than a century.

Ford’s history revolves around popular models such as the very popular F-150 pickup and the sporty Mustang pony. The Blue Oval brand has stopped production of sedans and hatchback models such as the Focus and Taurus in favor of SUVs and crossovers. Now it is producing attractive redesigns of popular SUVs such as the Bronco Sport and Explorer. The lineup also includes a compact Maverick pickup and a mid-size Ranger, but the latter lacks the subtleties that competitors like the Honda Ridgeline or Chevy Colorado have.
