The 2024 Aston Martin DBX is a mid-size luxury SUV manufactured by the British luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin. The Aston Martin DBX is the first car built at Aston Martin’s new facility in St Athan, Wales. According to Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman, the DBX’s wheelbase is stretched as far as possible by placing the wheels at the corners of the vehicle, giving the illusion of a smaller car with a low roof , which helps the DBX look more like a traditional Aston Martin design.

Aston Martin has designed and built some of the world’s most stunning sports cars, and now it has focused its renowned engineering prowess on delivering a 4×4 drivetrain that will beat the best in its class. With the Cayenne, Porsche created a plan for a performance crossover and found it extremely profitable. DBX paved the way for similarly luxurious four-wheelers in the form of the Bentley Bentayga and Maserati Levante, while even Lamborghini jumped on the bandwagon with the unusual Lamborghini Urus.

While these rivals represent the healthier end of the performance SUV market, there are other raw competitors such as the Range Rover Sport SVR and the BMW X5 Competition lower down the price range. The familiar style and design accents are particularly evident through the front end, which leaves a much more subtle impression than that of its flashy competitors.

2024 Aston Martin DBX : Interior

Aston’s design team wanted the 2025 Aston Martin DBX to look smaller than it really is, and they seem to have succeeded, with the SUV looking quite slim and sleek compared to the big, brash nature of so many other premium 4x4s. Inside, a full-length panoramic sunroof floods the car with light, while leather accents greet most of the cabin.

Aston had to rely too much on Mercedes for the DBX switchgear. The center console is tiny to the touch and littered with small buttons that are hard to distinguish. While the 12.3-inch infotainment screen has Apple CarPlay, it’s a generation behind current Mercedes models and can only be operated with a control wheel or trackpad – so you may end up nudging the screen to no avail. The standard Premium audio system includes 14 speakers and a total power of 800 W, and there are also four USB ports for smartphone connectivity.

2024 Aston Martin DBX : Engine

The 2024 DBX is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 engine supplied by Mercedes-AMG. The engine produces 542 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission, also supplied by Mercedes. The DBX 707 features a revised version of the AMG powertrain that produces 697 horsepower and 663 pound-feet of torque. It also has a limited-slip rear differential and can tow up to 5,940 pounds. Adaptive dampers and height-adjustable air springs are standard on the Aston, a gift for off-road adventures. According to EPA methodology, the regular DBX will earn 14 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway.

2024 Aston Martin DBX : Safety

The Aston Martin DBX has been crash-tested by NHTSA or IIHS. In our opinion, the Aston Martin 2024 DBX should be a safe car. 2024 DBX comes with many active and passive safety features.
