The 2023 Alfa Romeo Stelvio is tested with 20-inch wheels, but still provided sufficient isolation from all but the heaviest impacts. Although its maximum cornering grip is equel to rivals, the Alfa Romeo is the alpha dog when it comes to driving engagement. The chassis, shared with the Giulia sedan, has damping that is composed and comfortable. It adds desirable standard features that include larger 19-inch wheels, in-dash navigation, a sunroof, and more available options. Most paint colors cost extra, and different wheel designs are available.

Inside, the 2024 Stelvio offers a modern interior and a comfortable driving position. Sportier models can be equipped with carbon fiber trim elements, while those looking for a more upscale look can choose wood inserts. The supportive front seats are upholstered in leather, and nice aluminum accents adorn the dashboard, doors and center console. The Stelvio has some useful storage tricks up its Italian sleeve, but with a small boot behind the rear seat, it’s not the roomiest crossover in the pack.
The Alfa Romeo Stelvio featured with a 12.3-inch display screen that can be set to three various options: Evolved, Relax and Heritage. The infotainment system is still only available in one size – 8.8 inches – and responds to touch inputs and a handy rotary controller on the center console as redundant controls, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. We found the infotainment system to be visually appealing, but the navigation alerts occasionally appeared too late, resulting in missed turns. Using one of the two standard smartphone connected interfaces for navigation solves this minor problem.
