The Lotus Cars Limited is a British car company based in Norfolk, England. Lotus produces sports cars and racing cars that are characterized by low weight and good driving characteristics. Lotus was previously involved in Formula One racing through the Lotus team and won the Formula One World Championship seven times. First available as a roadster, the car featured a twin-cam engine, four-wheel disc brakes and four-wheel independent suspension. Later versions with a fixed roof were offered.
