FAW

The China FAW Group Corp., Ltd. is a Chinese car manufacturer headquartered in Changchun, Jilin. FAW was founded in 1953, and it is currently the second largest of the “Big Four” state-owned automakers in China, along with SAIC Motor, Dongfeng Motor Corporation and Changan Automobile. FAW has production bases in 14 provinces across China, including Guangdong, Hainan, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Shandong, Sichuan and Yunnan provinces. Non-provincial places include Pudong.

The primarily producing products for sale in the domestic market, FAW has exported to many countries since 1957 with the sale of three commercial trucks to a businessman in Jordan. During the company’s existence, FAW had customers in more than 80 countries. Countries it has exported products to include Egypt, Iraq, Kenya, Mexico, Myanmar, Pakistan, Russia, South Africa, Iran, Zimbabwe and Uruguay. NAZ-Nakhchivan Automobile Plant has been assembling FAW cars in Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan since 2020.
